Logan Fisher leads Panther Valley to victory over Weatherly

The Panther Valley Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Weatherly with points to spare, taking the game 80-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

It was another big night for Logan Fisher, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Hood, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.

Several Weatherly players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ian Mckeegan, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Austyn Lamonica was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five steals and two blocks.

Panther Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Weatherly, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.

Panther Valley and Tamaqua will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Tamaqua is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Weatherly, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shenandoah Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Shenandoah Valley is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
