Baseball Game Recap: Biloxi Indians vs. Gulfport Admirals

Biloxi was the 5-4 winner over Gulfport when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Biloxi wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Shawn Gollott was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Wyatt Pyron was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Biloxi's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Gulfport, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

While Biloxi had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
