Volleyball Recap: Cincinnati Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Cincinnati Christian challenged Miami Valley Christian Academy on Thursday. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Lions. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Maddy Jones paced Cincinnati Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Jones got some help from Anna Bowling and her 18 assists. Jones was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Charlotte Strouble went supernova For Miami Valley Christian Academy., getting 32 digs and two assists. Strouble is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 19 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Hailey Farmer was another key player, getting 11 digs and five aces.

Cincinnati Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Cincinnati Christian has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Mars Hill Academy on the 3rd. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, after both having extra time off, they and Roger Bacon will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
