Softball Recap: Litchfield Takes a Loss

Litchfield fell victim to Civic Memorial and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Eagles. The Purple Panthers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Litchfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Georgia Glover, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Glover hit this season.

Litchfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Civic Memorial, their record is now 6-2.

Coming up, Litchfield will square off against Ramsey at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Civic Memorial, they will take on Granite City at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.83 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
