Volleyball Recap: Altha Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Altha can now relate to. They came up short against the Sneads Pirates on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

LaRay Gibbs produced another solid performance getting 32 digs and three aces for Sneads. Gibbs has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 37 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shaleigh Harrell, who had 13 digs.

Altha now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Sneads, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-10.

Altha does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sneads, they will face off against Blountstown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
