Stayton put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 48-44 victory over the Springfield Millers. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Millers are ranked 73rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stayton's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Springfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stayton will venture away from home to square off against Scappoose at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stayton's defense has only allowed 27.3 points per game this season, so Scappoose's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Springfield, they are taking a road trip to take on Willamette at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
