Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Mary's Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Rock Springs Christian Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Monday.

While St. Mary's Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Rock Springs Christian Academy work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 27-25, 25-17.

Molly Krabel paced St. Mary's Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Krabel really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with five. Finally, Joanna Carney kept St. Mary's Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Among those leading the charge was Lauren Harrell, who had 17 assists and two aces. That's the most assists she has posted since back in August of 2024.

St. Mary's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

St. Mary's Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against The Campus on the 19th. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Atlanta Jewish Academy on the 19th.
