Basketball Recap: Carolina Academy Takes a Loss

Carolina Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 66-32 loss at the hands of the Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 70-56 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Christ Church Episcopal's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reid Hipp, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. Adam Brown was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Carolina Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Christ Church Episcopal, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

While Carolina Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
