Caleb Helms tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

At the plate, Stoney Creek secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was RJ Kruczek, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Stoney Creek's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-19. As for Traverse City West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-5.
