Lincolnton won the last time they faced North Gaston and things went their way on Monday too. The Wolves put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win.

Lincolnton was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16, 25-20.

Leading Lincolnton to victory were Akira Connor and Karla Araya-Jiminez. Connor had ten digs, while Araya-Jiminez had ten digs. Araya-Jiminez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Lincolnton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

Lincolnton's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for North Gaston, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Lincolnton will head out to challenge Shelby at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Gaston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Huss at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
