Basketball Recap: Dunnellon Comes Up Short

Dunnellon lost against Santa Fe back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dunnellon Tigers took a 43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Santa Fe Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 453rd, while the Raiders are ranked 200th).

Dunnellon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Santa Fe, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-10.

Dunnellon has already played their next contest (against Citrus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Santa Fe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
