Addison Prieto made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off two hits. Prieto was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Olivia Fuller, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Maya Fuller was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
Carrollwood Day kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seven Rivers Christian). They put the hurt on Ocala Christian with a sharp 16-1 victory on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Like Carrollwood Day, Seven Rivers Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Natalee Tidwell. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Tidwell a new career-low in earned runs (zero). She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Madalyn Luider was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Alannah Ruiz, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Carrollwood Day's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Seven Rivers Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-13.
