Volleyball Game Preview: Morris vs. Kaneland Knights

Morris is 2-8 against Kaneland since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Morris will be playing at home against Kaneland at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Morris' tournament run continued when they took on Seneca on Saturday. Morris won by a set and slipped past Seneca 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Morris.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Morris who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 21-25, 15-5.

Morris can attribute much of their success to Cami Pfeifer, who had nine digs and two assists. That's the most digs Pfeifer has posted over her last seven matchups.

Meanwhile, Kaneland earned a 2-0 win over Grant Community on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Kaneland's win bumped their record up to 11-21. As for Morris, their victory bumped their record up to 26-6.

Morris skirted past Kaneland 2-1 when the teams last played on October 2nd. Does Morris have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kaneland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
