Basketball Game Preview: Christian Academy Warriors vs. Henryville Hornets

Christian Academy is 7-2 against Henryville since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Christian Academy Warriors will face off against the Henryville Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Henryville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

Christian Academy is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Evansville Christian: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Christian Academy blew Evansville Christian out of the water with a 52-20 final score. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.

Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Renfro, who posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Renfro is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played. Noah Vance was another key player, going 5 of 7 to rack up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Henryville came up short against Trinity Lutheran on Saturday and fell 56-43.

The victory made it two in a row for Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 11-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30 points. As for Henryville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Henryville in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 62-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
