Baseball Recap: Texans Baseball Homeschool Sets Scoring Season-High Against Texas Wind

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Texans Baseball Homeschool). Everything went their way against Texas Wind on Saturday as the Texans Baseball Homeschool Texans made off with a 24-2 victory. The win was nothing new for the Texans as they're now sitting on three straight.

Texans Baseball Homeschool got a massive performance out of Mannix Segovia, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Segovia has become a key player for Texans Baseball Homeschool: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Scesa, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Texans Baseball Homeschool always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Texas Wind only posted an OBP of .333.

Texans Baseball Homeschool's record now sits at 6-4. As for Texas Wind, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Texans Baseball Homeschool will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Andrew's at 5:00 p.m. on March 28th. As for Texas Wind, they will square off against Stephenville FAITH at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Texas Wind has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
