Softball Recap: Santa Cruz Valley Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Santa Cruz Valley was feeling good fresh off their 18-1 takedown of San Manuel last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Round Valley Elks on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dust Devils of the 14-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Emilee Brown made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Santa Cruz Valley's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Santa Cruz Valley will take on Willcox at 6:00 p.m. on March 13th. As for Round Valley, they will face off against Bisbee at 4:00 p.m. on March 13th.
