Volleyball Recap: St. Paul Comes Up Short

St. Paul and Blue Valley squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but St. Paul had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-12.

Brittany Deegan paced St. Paul's offense, picking up five kills. Deegan got some help from Ava Dent and her nine assists. Finally, Kyndahl Venneman kept St. Paul's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 11-23. As for Blue Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-22.

St. Paul does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blue Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Marais des Cygnes Valley on the 25th.
