Volleyball Recap: Weddington Gets the Win + How To Watch

Weddington won the last time they faced Lake Norman and things went their way on Monday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Weddington walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 22-25, 25-21.

Lake Norman's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alayna Lefebvre, who had eight digs and two aces. Lefebvre has been hot recently, having also posted 15 or more assists the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jordin Smith, who had 24 digs and one assist.

Weddington's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lake Norman, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weddington will challenge Independence at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Norman, they will face off against Marvin Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
