Basketball Recap: Wilkes Central Eagles vs. West Wilkes Blackhawks
Wilkes Central was the 81-75 winner over West Wilkes when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Wilkes Central Eagles lost 84-64 to the West Wilkes Blackhawks on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (59), the Eagles still had to take the loss.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Fernando Allen, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Denny was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 10 points.
