Basketball Recap: Upper Dauphin Area Comes Up Short

Upper Dauphin Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Halifax Wildcats an easy 74-51 win. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 71-38 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Despite the loss, Upper Dauphin Area still got an impressive performance from Ethan Groff, who went 7 of 14 en route to 20 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aidan Bingaman, who posted 13 points.

Upper Dauphin Area's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Halifax, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Upper Dauphin Area will take on Susquenita in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Halifax and Millersburg will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Millersburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season.
