Volleyball Recap: Edison Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Edison was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Justice last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell just short of the Hayfield Hawks by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost four in a row.

Edison actually scored more points across those five sets (103-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 13-25, 25-20, 15-12.

Leading Hayfield to victory were Luis Soto and Jordan Lewis. Soto had 44 assists and 13 digs, while Lewis had five digs and three aces. Soto is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 21 or more in each of the last seven games he's played.

Edison's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Hayfield, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-8.

Edison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Mount Vernon on the 23rd. As for Hayfield, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Lewis on the 23rd.
