Basketball Game Preview: Hutchinson Tigers vs. Mound-Westonka White Hawks

The Hutchinson Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Mound-Westonka White Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Saturday, Hutchinson came up short against New Ulm and fell 67-58. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Mound-Westonka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 84-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chanhassen. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (69), the White Hawks still had to take the loss.

Hutchinson's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Mound-Westonka, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Everything came up roses for Hutchinson against Mound-Westonka in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 80-51 victory. Will Hutchinson repeat their success, or does Mound-Westonka have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
