Softball Recap: Preston Indians vs. American Falls Beavers
Preston barely beat American Falls the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians' pitcher stepped up to hand the Beavers a 10-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Indians have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ellie Keller was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times she's played.
Keller wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Averie Madsen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Preston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Preston now has a winning record of 7-6. As for American Falls, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Coming up, Preston will host Sugar-Salem at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for American Falls, they will take on Snake River at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
