Elkhart won the last time they faced Frankston and things went their way on Thursday too. The Elks had just enough and edged out the Indians 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Elks.

Elkhart had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-15, 15-6.

Their offense was headlined by Layla Walding and Madiline Esparza, who picked up five kills apiece. Walding really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with nine. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Brooke Cooper, racking up two apiece.

Elkhart's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Frankston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Elkhart will take on Kerens at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Frankston, they will be playing at home against Scurry-Rosser at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
