Basketball Recap: Lancaster Takes a Loss

If Lancaster was riding high fresh off their 66-25 takedown of Lakewood on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Gales fell 62-55 to the Groveport-Madison Cruisers on Friday. The Golden Gales haven't had much luck with the Cruisers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Groveport-Madison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Lancaster and Pickerington Central will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Groveport-Madison will take on Teays Valley in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cruisers will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
