Mt. Eden has gone 10-0 against Tennyson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Mt. Eden Monarchs will challenge the Tennyson Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Mt. Eden will be strutting in after a win while Tennyson will be coming in after a loss.

On Wednesday, Mt. Eden earned a 59-46 victory over San Lorenzo. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Monarchs.

Meanwhile, Tennyson played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against San Lorenzo, falling 70-45. The Lancers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.

Mt. Eden will need focus on slowing down Matthew Lorje, one of several Tennyson players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6 of 9 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Walker, who posted five points and 13 rebounds.

Mt. Eden's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7. As for Tennyson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Mt. Eden was able to grind out a solid victory over Tennyson in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 64-57. Will Mt. Eden repeat their success, or does Tennyson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
