Plainview posted their closest win since October 8, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Boaz Pirates 2-1. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Faith Odom paced Plainview's offense, picking up eight kills. Odom got some help from Jaxson Bruce and her 12 assists. Odom was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Plainview's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Boaz, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
