There's no place like home for Paramus Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on Pope John XXIII with a sharp 33-8 victory on Friday. For the Paladins, this counts as revenge for the 14-10 win Pope John XXIII walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Paramus Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Achylles Dupont, who rushed for 57 yards and three TDs, and also picked up 78 receiving yards and one score. Marco Green was another key passer, throwing for 331 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes.

Paramus Catholic didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Pope John XXIII to a completion percentage of just 43.5%. Given Green's standout performance, it's clear Pope John XXIII's secondary just wasn't on the same level.

The victory got Paramus Catholic back to even at 1-1. As for Pope John XXIII, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
