Soccer Game Preview: St. Catherine's vs. St. Margaret's

St. Catherine is a perfect 3-0 against St. Margaret since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Saints will head out to challenge the Scotties at 4:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Thursday, St. Catherine's and Christchurch School finished up their game with a 1-1 draw.

The Saints' goal came courtesy of Nicole Makris, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, St. Margaret's was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to Collegiate. While losing is never fun, St. Margaret's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 186th, while Collegiate are ranked first).

St. Margaret's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. St. Catherine's draw makes their record 3-5-3 this season.

St. Catherine's took their win against St. Margaret's when the teams last played last Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Scotties have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
