Volleyball Recap: Okemos Falls Despite Big Games from Alexa Ruh and Mckenzie Gunns

If Okemos was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Jackson on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves came up short against the Mason Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Wolves have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Okemos took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 25-23.

Okemos' loss came despite strong showings from McKenzie Gunns and Alexa Ruh. Gunns had seven digs and two assists, while Ruh had three digs and one assist.

Okemos' defeat dropped their record down to 15-19-2. As for Mason, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-15-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Okemos nor Mason have any future games scheduled.
