Softball Recap: Enterprise Hornets vs. Anderson Cubs
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Enterprise). They put the hurt on the Anderson Cubs with a sharp 24-7 victory on Wednesday. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Cubs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Shelby Hopper made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Those earned runs marked the first that she tossed this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 4-for-6.

In other batting news, Carly Graham was incredible, going a perfect 6-for-6 with five runs, six RBI, and two stolen bases. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Sadie Ross was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-6.
Enterprise always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Enterprise's victory bumped their record up to 4-5-1. As for Anderson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Enterprise will host Foothill at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Anderson, they will be playing at home against Weed at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
