Softball Recap: Dacula Falcons vs. Mountain View Bears
Dacula waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Mountain View Bears. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly two runs.
Paisley Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Brown was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases.
In other batting news, Tatiana Loera was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and a triple. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Karsyn Plaisance, who went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run.
Dacula's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Mountain View, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
Dacula will play host again on Thursday to welcome Collins Hill, where first pitch is scheduled at 6:15 p.m. The last three games Dacula has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Mountain View, they will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Buford at 5:55 p.m.
