Softball Recap: Boulder City Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Boulder City can now relate to. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fernley Vaqueros on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled against the Vaqueros recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Boulder City's defeat dropped their record down to 23-9. As for Fernley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 24 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-10 record this season.

Boulder City has already played their next game, an 8-3 win against Sports Leadership & Management on the 16th. As for Fernley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-2 loss against Churchill County on the 16th.
