Southwick Regional waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Ludlow Lions as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Rams were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Lions, so the Rams were just returning the favor.

The victory didn't come easy: Ludlow scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 25-21.

Nicolas Spina paced Southwick Regional's offense, picking up 16 kills. Spina got some help from Phong Tran and his 26 assists.

Southwick Regional's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Ludlow, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, Southwick Regional will head out to face off against West Springfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ludlow, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Westfield at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
