Basketball Recap: Shiloh Takes a Loss

Shiloh came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 59-36 to the South Gwinnett Comets. If the Generals were looking for revenge after losing 48-33 to the Comets when the teams met back in December of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

South Gwinnett found their leader in freshman Jacody Terry, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. Terry also set a new season-high mark in shooting accuracy with 67%. Oziah Cobb was another key player, going 6-for-9 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Shiloh's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for South Gwinnett, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Shiloh will take on Miller Grove in a tournament on Monday. As for South Gwinnett, they will square off against Sequoyah at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. The Comets will need to watch out since the Chiefs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
