Baseball Recap: Ganado Wins Going Away Against Bloomington

Ganado never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats as they made off with a 19-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Bobcats/Lady Cats: they've now won six in a row.

Luke Reid and Ayden Tudyk made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Reid pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Tudyk pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At bat, Reid went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Tudyk got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Tudyk is becoming a predictor of Ganado's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-10-1 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Ganado got a massive performance out of Austen Pena, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Pena has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Bryce Ullman, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.

Ganado's record now sits at 9-10-1. As for Bloomington, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

As of now, neither Ganado nor the Bobcats/Lady Cats have any future games scheduled.
