Cornerstone Charter entered their tilt with Central Carolina Academy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 52-34. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-16 back in November.

Cornerstone Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lake Bristol, who went 8-for-12 to rack up 20 points and three steals. Bristol is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jackson Shaffrey, who posted six points along with 14 boards and six steals.

Cornerstone Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Central Carolina Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jax Gaddy, who had 17 points. That was a full 50% of Central Carolina Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row Gaddy has earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Mashburn, who put up nine points.

Cornerstone Charter's record now sits at 4-1. As for Central Carolina Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coming up, Cornerstone Charter won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Chatham Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals' defense better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 55.5 points per game this season. As for Central Carolina Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on River Mill at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th.
