It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kent Denver had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Lamar Thunder 48-14. The Sun Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Kent Denver got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Yianni Balafas out in front who threw for 326 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.2% of his passes. Clayton Leger was Balafas' top target, picking up 87 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Kent Denver was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lamar only rushed for 76.

Kent Denver didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Leger and Seb Meyers. Another thorn in Lamar's side was Cornell Brooks, who forced one fumble and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Lamar's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Adriel Gonzalez, who rushed for 74 yards and one TD, and Cason Pollart, who picked up 87 receiving yards and one touchdown. Pollart showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 64 yards.

Kent Denver's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Lamar, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Kent Denver wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 49-48 defeat against The Classical Academy on the 15th. Lamar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
