Football Recap: Denver South Extends Winning Streak to Four

Denver South entered their tilt with Smoky Hill on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 38-18 margin over the Buffaloes. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Ravens also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Denver South didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alex Holman and Maelynn Flood. Flood is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Denver South's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Smoky Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Coming up, Denver South will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Northfield at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Ravens 8.8, the Nighthawks 5.1) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Smoky Hill, they are taking a road trip to challenge Eaglecrest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Buffaloes' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
