Volleyball Recap: Emmaus Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Emmaus put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Pocono Mountain West Panthers 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Emmaus was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-18.

Brayden Dang paced Emmaus' offense, picking up 11 kills. Dang got some help from Ben Skekel and his 21 assists. Finally, Christopher Mitchell kept Emmaus' defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Emmaus' victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Pocono Mountain West, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Emmaus is set to face off against their familiar foe Nazareth Area at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pocono Mountain West will challenge rival Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
