This season hasn't been kind to the Holy Cross Lutheran Academy Crusaders, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were beaten by Crooms Academy 51-5 on Tuesday. Holy Cross Lutheran Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-3.
Crooms Academy found their leader in underclassman Erin Hassaballah, who scored 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hassaballah has scored at least a third of Crooms Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Fulgencio, who scored 12 points.
Holy Cross Lutheran Academy dropped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Crooms Academy, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-11.
Holy Cross Lutheran Academy will take on Lake Mary Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crooms Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against First Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
