Basketball Recap: Salinas Comes Up Short

Salinas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Monterey Dores 66-38. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cowboys of the 71-56 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Salinas' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Monterey, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Salinas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-49 defeat against Everett Alvarez on the 21st. As for Monterey, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-64 win against Scotts Valley on the 21st.
