Basketball Recap: Cactus Comes Up Short

Cactus suffered their biggest loss since November 21, 2025 on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Deer Valley Skyhawks 62-32. The defeat continues a trend for the Cobras in their meetings with the Skyhawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Several Cobras players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dominic Duran, who posted eight points.

Cactus' loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Deer Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Cactus has already played their next matchup, a 59-56 defeat against Greenway on the 21st. As for Deer Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 79-24 victory against Peoria on the 22nd.
