Soccer Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom lost against Lake Highland Prep back in January of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Freedom Patriots came up short against the Lake Highland Prep Highlanders, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Highlanders are ranked eighth).

Freedom's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Lake Highland Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1-1.

Freedom will challenge Cornerstone Charter Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Highland Prep, they will face off against Hagerty at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Highland Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.
