Crawfordsville is 9-1 against Danville since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Athenians will be playing at home against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Danville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Crawfordsville, who comes in off a win.
Crawfordsville took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They never let Fountain Central get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The Athenians haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Ethan Campbell made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over 5.2 innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. That run was his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Konner Ellsbury, who scored a run while going 4-for-4. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Jude Coursey was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
Crawfordsville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-3 to Plainfield. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since April 20, 2024.
Alex Fuesler was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Danville's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Crawfordsville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3-1.
Crawfordsville beat Danville 9-6 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Athenians repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
