Softball Recap: Oakridge Picks Up 15th Straight Win at Home

Oakridge entered their tilt with Whitehall on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Vikings a 13-0 shutout. Considering the Eagles have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Oakridge pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Whitehall, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

Oakridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-1 victory against North Farmington on the 18th. As for Whitehall, they will head out on the road to take on Newaygo at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
