Volleyball Recap: Premont Takes a Loss

Premont came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the La Villa Cardinals, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Cowboys in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost three in a row.

Premont's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for La Villa, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Premont will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Santa Maria at 4:30 p.m. on October 3. As for La Villa, they will square off against San Perlita at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
