Volleyball Recap: Harding Takes a Loss

Harding had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 0-10 to make it seven. They came up short against the Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hilltoppers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

As for Bridgeport Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7. They not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23rd (when they won 3-0).

Bridgeport Central can attribute much of their success to Jayquan Shipman, who had eight aces and three digs. That's the most digs Shipman has posted over his last seven matchups. Michael Sumigar also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Harding has already played their next contest (against McMahon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bridgeport Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Greenwich on the 15th.
