Basketball Recap: Bartlett Yancey Triumphs

Bartlett Yancey won the last time they faced Roxboro Community, and Jaden Carolina did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers enjoyed a cozy 39-24 win over the Roxboro Community Bulldogs on Monday thanks in part to Carolina, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last nine times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Ferguson, who posted two points and three steals. Those three steals gave him a new career-high.

Roxboro Community's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Clark, who had eight points.

Bartlett Yancey's record is now 6-12. As for Roxboro Community, they dropped their record down to 10-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Bartlett Yancey has already played their next match, a 48-44 defeat against Cummings on the 12th. As for Roxboro Community, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-56 victory against Excelsior Classical Academy on the 12th.
