Softball Recap: Morton Victorious

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Thursday. Morton never let Quitman get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Morton hasn't had any issues with Quitman recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Alevia Little, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with four RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Bentley Mason, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Morton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Quitman only posted an OBP of .250.

Morton's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Quitman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Morton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 19-7 defeat against Lake on the 22nd. Quitman has also already played their next matchup (against Philadelphia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
